Kalkreuth Golf Event raises $75,000 for Easterseals

The annual Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal golf weekend at Oglebay Resort has benefited children served by Easterseals for 12 years.

The 11th annual Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal Vendor Invitational and Amateur Golf Championship took place at Oglebay's Speidel Golf Club July 24-26 and resulted in a $75,000 donation to Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Wheeling to help local children receive life-changing medical rehabilitation services.

The event tees off each year with a vendor dinner Thursday night, during which Easterseals parent Kylee Weekly shared her experiences of her daughter, Blakely, receiving speech therapy at Easterseals. The golf event's co-title sponsors are ABC Supply Co., Johns Manville, and Carlisle Construction Materials. 

The dinner and the Vendor Invitational Golf Scramble on Friday bring in representatives from roofing supply companies and other Kalkreuth vendors from around the country. About 220 golfers participated in the scramble. Saturday and Sunday featured the amateur golf championship, run by the Oglebay Golf Club, which drew over 280 golfers of all ages.
