Easterseals specialist to perform for A Special Wish Lip Sync Challenge

Easterseals child development specialist Shawna Shepherd will take to the Capitol Theatre stage Oct. 18 for the 7th Annual Lip Sync Challenge, presented by The Health Plan. 

The crowd-pleasing event blends music, laughter, and pure joy, all for an extraordinary cause, A Special Wish Foundation of the Ohio Valley.

The contestants this year are:

• Wheeling Park Cheer Coach & Developmental Specialist at Easterseals, Shawna Shepherd
• Play by Play Announcer at WKKX & Co-Owner Of La Bowls, Brian Campbell
• WVU Medicine Marketing & Communication Specialist, Gretchen Kessler
• Production Manager at The Capitol Theatre & WesBanco Arena, Justin Malarkey
• WV Attorney, Susan Regrut
• Cultural Diversity & Community Outreach Director, YWCA Wheeling, Ron Scott, Jr.

According to Annmarie O'Grady, Special Wish executive director, "This isn’t just an evening of entertainment; it’s a chance to change lives! ASWOV is the only local organization dedicated to granting heartfelt wishes to children in our community who are bravely facing life-threatening illnesses. These wishes bring hope in the hardest moments, joy amid uncertainty, and unforgettable memories that families treasure forever."

Tickets are available at Capitol Theatre online, the Capitol box office at WesBanco Arena, or from any of the contestants. Tickets will also be available from the box office on the night of the event. Doors open at 6 p.m.
