Impact

Since 1937, Easterseals Rehabilitation Center has helped tens of thousands of children live their lives to the fullest potential.

Needs-Driven, Community-Supported 

For the first several decades of Easterseals' existence (mid-20th century), all services were provided free of charge in a small clinical setting. Today, we have expanded our scope to provide services in regional schools, in homes through West Virginia Birth to Three, and in two outpatient centers in Wheeling and Steubenville. 

We accept all insurances, including Ohio and West Virginia Medicaid, but we never have and never will turn anyone away for inability to pay. How do we do it? Thanks to our generous community, children with developmental delays and disabilities in the Ohio Valley can continue to receive the most up-to-date therapies and services from our top-notch professionals.

We Are a CARF-Accredited Provider

CARF stands for the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. In 2024, Easterseals Rehabilitation Center received the highest accreditation — three years — from CARF. Accreditation is a comprehensive review to determine if a provider’s services meet international standards of quality. Achieving accreditation means Easterseals is committed to delivering safe and effective services and ongoing performance improvement. We are the only CARF-accredited pediatric specialty outpatient rehabilitation center in West Virginia. Visit CARF online for more information.
